I remember innocence
It’s the smell of grass when it’s cut
The birds are learning to fly and sing,
The bees are collecting the early nectar
Then it happened
Like the Black Death, it was gone
Instead of birds singing
It was the moans of the damned
The smell of grass when it’s cut
became the smell of iron and dirt
I’m never going to be the same
I don’t think we ever will be
Ignorance is bliss
Is what they say
Well, my story and yours could be different
I think we can all agree
on this...
Ignorance is where it all began
